Adoption Books for Your Own Reading

I found this website for Adult Non-fiction about adoption. I have not looked at any of them but you really have to take them all with a grain of salt. Remember, happy adoptees don't have anything that sounds exciting enough to write about - it's usually the horror stories. But, with that in mind - I wouldn't mind reading a few. Anyway, thought I'd pass it along.

And the Rule of Four. What did you guys think? I'm was reading the last section on the train this morning. I have about 20 pages left. I know it was touted to be similar to The DaVince Code, but... No, it wasn't as good. I did enjoy it though. I haven't read the end yet, but so far I keep thinking, WELL? WHAT WAS IN THE TREASURE CRYPT?? If they don't go and dig it up at the end I'll be really disappointed.

Hi Everyone!

Carla maintains the EZ Board and she wants everyones opinion. She has learned that if we want it to be a full blown chat room there is an added fee. Do you guys want to go forward w/the chat room? Does everyone feel like they will come to the monthly chat? If so, she'll do it.

P.S. I still haven't finished the Rule of Four (or was it the Book of 4?) because my husband borrowed it while we were on vacation, but he has since switched to the new Tolkein book and told me I could have it back. On vacation I began reading Magic Hour (when Sweetness took my book). Petunia suggested it and it is REALLY good. She also suggested Inside the Kingdom: My Life in Saudi Arabia and that was really interesting and talked all about the life of a woman in an opressed (sp?) country.

Did everyone go to the EZ Board chat on Sunday?

So, here goes: The Mermaid Chair by Sue Monk Kidd. I started this book last night before bed so I'm only about 50 pages into it. She also wrote The Secret Life of Bees which was a best seller.
